Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures a constant stream of new content to engage players.

Game director Guangyun Chen revealed a two-part seasonal update structure: one new hero in the first half, and another in the second. This approach maintains player engagement. Beyond new heroes, updates will include new maps, storylines, and objectives. Previously announced characters include Blade (currently unavailable) and leaked character Ultron. The addition of the entire Fantastic Four team has also been confirmed.

According to GameLook, a Chinese publication, Marvel Rivals generated approximately $100 million globally, with significant contributions from the Chinese market. This marks a major move for Marvel, a film industry giant, into the gaming sector.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality title featuring a compelling roster of characters, receiving positive reviews upon its release.
