'The Cards' Sequel Unveils Monstrous Delights
Rifts are rarely good news in the gaming world, but Avid Games has embraced this concept wholeheartedly in its new game, Eerie Worlds. This highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything offers a monster-themed tactical CCG experience focused on fun and learning.
Monsters, spawned from rifts, are the stars of Eerie Worlds. Avid Games has crafted a visually diverse roster of creatures, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors.
The game boasts an impressive array of folklore creatures. Expect encounters with Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, alongside Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others from global mythology are included, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions for an enriching gameplay experience.
Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant tactical depth due to the varied properties of the monsters. Players build a "Grimoire," their personal monster collection, which can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 base cards, the Grimoire expands through merging, with more cards promised soon.
Avid Games plans to release two additional Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains challenging and engaging, regardless of player experience.
Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card for battle. Nine 30-second turns demand strategic decisions regarding mana usage, synergy exploitation, and more.
With so much to explore, don't delay. Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store – [link here].
