Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 launched today, introducing a game-changing feature that simplifies camo progression: Camo Challenge Tracking. This helpful tool significantly eases the grind towards coveted camos like Dark Matter and Nebula. Let's explore how it works.

The new Camo Challenge Tracker, detailed in the patch notes, allows players to manually track up to 10 camo and 10 calling card challenges simultaneously. But the system's real brilliance lies in its "Near Completion" notification. This alerts players to challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among the 10 actively tracked.

This feature eliminates the need to constantly check the main menu for progress. Players can now monitor their progress during matches, making the process far more efficient.

Tracking Your Progress in Black Ops 6

To add a camo or calling card challenge to your tracker, navigate to the desired challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation). This allows you to monitor progress in real-time, planning your next steps without leaving the action.

The game intelligently auto-populates the tracker with challenges closest to completion, even if not manually selected. This ensures you're always aware of your imminent unlocks. The Daily Challenges section in the lobby also displays a complete list of "near complete" camos and calling cards.

Season 2 also simplifies unlocking special camos. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. However, two special camos are still required to unlock mastery camos.

This update directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly listened, implementing a more efficient system to enhance the overall Black Ops 6 experience.
