Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go
The highly anticipated Bug Out event is making its return to Pokémon Go, promising an exciting array of Bug-type Pokémon and the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Mark your calendars for March 26th to 30th, as this event is brimming with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and fresh challenges that will keep you engaged throughout.
During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be crucial. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also increase the number of Pokémon that appear at a PokéStop if enough are caught with a single Lure Module. This is your chance to maximize your encounters and make the most out of your time.
You'll also benefit from 2x XP and additional Candy for Nice Throws or better, with heightened Candy XL chances for trainers level 31 and above. If you're on the hunt for Shiny Pokémon, you'll be pleased to know that your odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are significantly improved during this event.
The wild will be teeming with Bug-types, including frequent appearances from Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out, as you might just stumble upon the elusive Cutiefly.
Sizzlipede will be available in one-star raids, joining forces with Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate the three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those seeking extra rewards, a Paid Timed Research option is available for $2 (or the local equivalent), featuring encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.
New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. Be sure to visit the in-game shop to grab the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
