Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams
Get ready, Zombies fans! Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is adding a brand-new map to its round-based survival mode. This exciting addition, the fifth new map for the game, promises a thrilling new experience.
Black Ops 6 Welcomes a New Zombies Map: Mansion Mayhem!
Say Goodbye to Amalgams (Maybe)
A sneak peek, courtesy of the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch Studios' X account (March 12, 2025), revealed a haunting image: a grand mansion, scarred by battle, with burning vehicles and ominous smoke billowing from its windows. The caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and the "#Zombies" hashtag, hints at the return of the fan-favorite character, Edward Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War, the game this Black Ops 6 remake is based on.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, February 1991, a setting that seamlessly continues the narrative from Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb.
But here's a game-changer: Treyarch's Instagram confirmed the absence of Amalgam enemies on this map. Responding to a fan's comment about facing hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This news is a significant relief for players, as Amalgams are notoriously tough Elite enemies with high health and devastating attacks. Their exclusion suggests a potentially smoother, less brutal gameplay experience in this new location.
