Wes Johnson, the iconic voice actor known for his roles in Bethesda games such as *The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim*, *Fallout 3*, and *Starfield*, recently shared a heartfelt message as he continues to recover from a harrowing ordeal. Last week, Johnson was found "barely alive" in his hotel room, leading to an urgent medical response. A video posted on a GoFundMe page, which has raised $174,653 to help with his medical expenses and bills, revealed that he had been in a coma.

"I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you," Johnson expressed in his message. He was in Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation when he fell critically ill. After not showing up at the event, his wife, Kim Johnson, became concerned and contacted the hotel. Security and emergency medical technicians were dispatched, struggling to find a pulse upon their arrival.

"Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here," Johnson recounted. He credits his survival to his wife's quick thinking and the efforts of his son, who called security. Johnson was rushed to the hospital and placed in a coma for five days. It was during this time that he learned about the GoFundMe campaign launched by his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, along with his wife Kim.

Johnson expressed his gratitude to the National Alzheimer's Association for their support in flying his family to see him and providing accommodations. He also thanked Ted Leonsis, chairman of the Washington Capitals' parent company, for a generous donation of $25,000. Additionally, Johnson acknowledged Bethesda's support, stating, "You say that I'm your friend. I am. Always will be. Love you guys." He extended his thanks to fans, both those who have donated and those who have shown support in other ways, affirming, "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere."

Looking forward to his recovery, Johnson said, "It's going to be a while as I work my way back but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and having you all hear me then. Cheers."

Throughout his career, Johnson has lent his voice to numerous characters in Bethesda titles, including Ron Hope in *Starfield*, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion*, three Daedric Princes in *The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind*, Fawkes and Maister Burke in *Fallout 3*, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in *Skyrim*, and Moe Cronin in *Fallout 4*, among many others. His contributions to film and television are also notable, but it's his work in video games that has left a lasting impact on fans worldwide.
