Bethesda To Reveal Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

After months of anticipation fueled by rumors and leaks, Bethesda appears poised to officially announce the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow.

Bethesda's official Twitter/X account teased a major announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8am PT / 11am ET across YouTube and Twitch. While the post didn't explicitly name the project, the prominent Roman numeral "IV" and a background strikingly similar to classic Oblivion artwork leave little doubt.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has circulated for years, intensifying recently with credible leaks. The possibility first emerged from a 2020 Bethesda roadmap leaked during the 2023 FTC vs. Microsoft trial, which listed an Oblivion remaster for fiscal year 2022. Initially dismissed as a potentially canceled plan due to the missed window, the rumors gained new life in January. A subsequent leak suggested the project was a comprehensive remake developed by Bethesda with support from Virtuos. This was essentially confirmed last week when assets, including in-game images from the remake, surfaced directly from Virtuos' own website.

If recent leaks are accurate, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will release on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Reports also mention a Deluxe Edition that will include the iconic horse armor alongside the standard game.

Tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and, hopefully, full details on this long-awaited return to Cyrodiil.
