Avowed: All Playable Races Revealed

Embark on your *Avowed* adventure by choosing from a diverse, though limited, selection of playable races within Eora's rich fantasy world, inherited from the *Pillars of Eternity* series. While the Kith encompass a wide array of species, your character creation options are currently focused on these core races:

Humans (Folk)

Humans, or Folk as they're known in-game, are the most common race in Avowed, and naturally, a prominent choice in character creation. Fortunately, the customization options for humans are extensive, offering a wide range of presets, detailed facial features, skin tones, and hairstyles to help you craft a truly unique character.

Elves

Elves provide another compelling race option. Visually similar to humans, they're distinguished by subtle differences in facial structure and, of course, those characteristic pointed ears.

Godlikes

While all Envoys are Godlikes within the game's narrative, players have the option to incorporate Godlike features into their character's appearance. This grants access to a unique selection of 14 distinct facial features and four hairstyles, ranging from subtle enhancements to more striking, surreal options. These choices are available regardless of chosen race or body type.

Character Customization: Gender and Body Types

Avowed offers four distinct body types, with options for both masculine and feminine presentations for Humans and Elves. Two masculine and two feminine voice options are also available. Furthermore, players can select their character's pronouns (he/him, she/her, or they/them), adding another layer of personalization.

Unplayable Races

While several Kith races, such as Dwarves, Aumaua, and Orlans, populate the world of Avowed, they are currently unavailable as playable character options. However, Obsidian Entertainment may introduce additional races through future updates or DLC.
