Some absences were already anticipated—like Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange—but the following omissions stand out, especially considering the film’s cosmic-scale storyline and its anticipated role as a cinematic convergence point for the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
