April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in April 2025, featuring three diverse titles: RoboCop: Rogue City for PS5, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre for PS4 and PS5, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory for PS4. These games will be available starting April 1 and can be accessed at no additional cost until the next set of games arrives on May 5.

The announcement was made via a PlayStation.Blog post, highlighting the variety of gaming experiences available to subscribers. Here's a closer look at each game:

• RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5): Developed by Teyon and Nacon, this first-person shooter lets players step into the shoes of Alex Murphy, aka RoboCop, as he fights to save Detroit from a new criminal threat. A significant update in January of the previous year added a New Game Plus mode, enhancing the replay value. Our review at launch rated it a solid 7/10, praising its faithful recreation of the '80s classic.

• The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5): From Sumo Digital and Gun Media, this asymmetrical multiplayer game offers a chilling experience where players can either try to survive or take on the role of the Slaughter Family. It's a tense game of cat and mouse, with the iconic Leatherface adding to the horror. Our review gave it a 6/10, noting it provides a few hours of technically challenged yet entertaining gameplay.

• Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4): Bandai Namco's turn-based monster collector game expands on the digital world of Digimon, offering over 320 creatures to collect. It provides a fresh perspective on the events of the original Cyber Sleuth story, appealing to fans of the series.

As these new titles join the service, don't forget to download the March 2025 titles before they expire on March 31. The previous month's lineup included Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, making it a strong set of games for subscribers to enjoy.
