Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

Author : Jason May 03,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This is one of the most competitive prices available for a prebuilt system featuring the RTX 5080, particularly since the launch of the RTX 50 series in January has led to price increases across other brands. At Dell, the next cheapest option with the same GPU is over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU could cost as much as this entire system.

Update: Tariffs have affected Dell as well, and with the ongoing stock issues surrounding Blackwell cards, expect prices on Alienware gaming desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs to rise soon.

Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell series, which has been notoriously difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – it doesn’t offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, although DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance the gaming experience in supported titles. However, for gamers with older GPUs looking for a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a fantastic choice, especially if you're keen on utilizing Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial preorders for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of going live. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs are either out of stock, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
