Coming May 6

Schell Games and Innersloth, the developers and publishers of Among Us 3D, have announced that the game will officially hit the shelves on May 6, 2025. This announcement was made via the game’s official Twitter (X) on April 16.

Originally dubbed Among Us VR, the game has since been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more expansive experience, including cross-play multiplayer functionality. This week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players unprecedented flexibility in their in-game purchases, as it never expires.

Among Us 3D is packed with exciting new features such as a permanent Tag Mode with an Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, a variety of new and returning mini-games, and an array of fresh cosmetics to customize your look.

It's important to clarify that Among Us 3D is a standalone game, separate from the original Among Us VR released in 2022. Cross-play between these two games is not supported. According to Schell Games' FAQs on their website, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."

Wishlist Campaign

Among Us 3D is now available for wishlisting on Steam, and with this, Schell Games has launched the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. Players can achieve various milestones to unlock exclusive in-game rewards, including:

• 555,555 Wishlists - A Cosmetic Surprise
• 777,777 Wishlists - Suspiciously New Exciting Cosmetic(s)
