Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: Lionsgate has officially announced the titles and exciting developments for the upcoming sequels. The third installment, titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously announced. Additionally, a fourth film is already in the works, promising more thrilling heist and magic adventures.

The announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, at CinemaCon. Director Ruben Fleischer, who will helm Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, has signed on to develop and direct the fourth installment as well. The franchise has so far amassed an impressive $700 million at the global box office.

The original cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by a new generation of illusionists portrayed by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt. Rosamund Pike will also star in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.

Fleischer, who previously worked with Eisenberg and Harrelson on his debut film Zombieland, brings his experience from recent successful films like Uncharted and Venom, which grossed over $400 million and $850 million worldwide, respectively.

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will return to produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson expressed his excitement, stating, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

Ruben Fleischer shared his enthusiasm, saying, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”

IGN's reviews of the previous films have been mixed. The first film, Now You See Me, received a 6.3/10, with IGN noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” The sequel, Now You See Me 2, scored a 6.2, with the review stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."

With the promise of more magic and heists, fans of the Now You See Me series have much to look forward to with the upcoming films.
