Last of Us 3: Still a Possibility?
Fans of *The Last of Us* series were still reeling from Neil Druckmann's recent statement hinting that a new game might not be on the horizon when a spark of optimism emerged. Insider Daniel Richtman has claimed that the next installment in the beloved series is not only in the works but has already moved forward with casting actors and filming some scenes.

Given the somewhat ambiguous nature of Naughty Dog's director's earlier comments, these rumors might carry some weight. When Druckmann mentioned there would be "no next The Last of Us," he could have been alluding to a sequel that was already in development. It's also worth noting that he's made similar statements in the past—before the announcement of *Part II*. However, it's important to approach Richtman's leaks with caution, as he has a history of both hits and misses.
It's clear that at least a concept for the new installment exists. As for an official announcement or any further news, the studio might be holding off to keep the spotlight on their upcoming new IP, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
