January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha gaming world is always buzzing with activity, and recent January 2025 revenue figures offer a fascinating snapshot of the genre's financial landscape. Genshin Impact, fueled by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in revenue, doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million (compared to $45.6 million the previous month).

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured a strong second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.

The report reveals a mixed bag for other prominent titles. Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, reaching $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant 50% decrease, falling from $57.9 million in December to $26.3 million in January.

It's important to note that this ranking solely reflects mobile platform revenue. The data also acknowledges that Chinese Android revenue is estimated using a multiplier based on iOS revenue due to the absence of Google Play in the region.
