Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next line of official merchandise. A whopping 100 bizarre and iconic items are up for grabs, with the top two vote-getters promised for release within the next two years. The vote, currently only available on the Japanese website, offers a diverse selection ranging from the expected to the utterly absurd.

While sensible options like a 20th-anniversary hoodie and a Yakuza-themed pencil case are included, the real fun lies in the more unusual choices. As reported by Automaton, fans can choose from a treasure trove of memorable in-game items.

These include the cult leader Munan Suzuki's outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options draw from the series' rich history, featuring items like Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

2025 marks not only the anniversary but also the release of Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (err... Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) on February 21st. While the studio hasn't confirmed any other anniversary releases, given their prolific output – nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, and two Super Monkey Ball games – another release isn't entirely out of the question. The studio's rapid development cycle suggests that two releases in a single year are within the realm of possibility.
