World of Warcraft Has Good News For Players Who Missed an Important 20th Anniversary Event Achievement
World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: The Alyx Relocation
World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and pursue the elusive Incognitro mount, thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC. Alyx, previously stationed at the 20th-anniversary event location, has been moved to Dornogal.
Securing the Detective Title Post-Anniversary:
The 20th-anniversary event concluded, removing many associated activities and NPCs. However, Alyx remains, now positioned northwest of the Delver's Headquarters in Dornogal, near the Foundation Hall. Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, retains their clue board detailing the locations of 11 missing Celebration Crates.
To earn the Detective title:
- Locate Alyx in Dornogal.
- Use the clues on Alyx's board to find the 11 Celebration Crates (requires level 10, access to Dornogal at level 68).
- Return the crates to Alyx. Six crates unlock the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while all 11 unlock "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and the crucial Detective title. The Detective title is the key to initiating the Incognitro mount questline.
Impact of Alyx's Relocation:
While the main Guest Relations questline is unavailable, Alyx's move ensures players can still obtain the Detective title and access the Incognitro mount quest indefinitely. This prevents players from being locked out of this rare mount.
Unavailable Achievements:
Unfortunately, other achievements tied to the Guest Relations questline (e.g., "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager," "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats") are now unobtainable, as are their associated rewards. The future availability of these rewards remains uncertain.
