Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each boasting a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.

First, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. You'll notice a golden banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate ending. Normally, this stage involves escorting Liu Bei while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of simply ensuring Liu Bei's escape.

• Reduce Difficulty: Select "Historian" mode to make the overwhelming number of enemies more manageable.
• Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner for a closer starting position to Cao Cao's forces.

Prioritize filling your Musou Rage meter. Cao Cao will deploy two Grand Tactics: one requiring two officer kills, the other demanding 250 soldier defeats. A weapon like twin pikes is highly recommended for the latter. Once his army is routed, defeating Cao Cao should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions follow before the true Shu ending is revealed.
