PUBG Mobile World Cup: Round 1 Concludes, Main Event Looms
PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: 12 Teams Remain!
The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC) has concluded, leaving 12 teams vying for a share of the $3 million prize pool. This exciting tournament, part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has narrowed the field from 24 to its finalists.
Alliance currently leads the pack. The remaining 12 teams will enjoy a one-week respite before the final stage, taking place July 27th-28th.
Global Impact:
While the EWC's overall global impact remains to be seen, the PUBG Mobile World Cup has generated significant buzz. It's important to note, however, that it isn't the largest event on the PUBG Mobile esports calendar, so its prominence might be eclipsed by future tournaments.
Meanwhile, the 12 teams eliminated from the main competition will compete in a "Survival Stage" on July 23rd-24th, fighting for two coveted spots in the final.
