Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes
Supercell, the renowned Finnish game developer, has just dropped a bombshell. After confirming the closure of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're now set to revive it in a surprising new form. Introducing Project R.I.S.E., an innovative take on the beloved Clash universe.
Yes, it's true—Clash Heroes is no more. Following the footsteps of Clash Mini, it has been officially discontinued. But don't despair! Supercell isn't leaving fans in the lurch. Instead, they're resurrecting the game as Project R.I.S.E., which will be a social action RPG roguelite, deeply rooted in the Clash universe.
In an exciting announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre shared the news. "Clash Heroes is dead. That's the bad news," he stated candidly. "The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. is still a Clash game, and the better news is that it's now a multiplayer-focused action RPG."
Project R.I.S.E. isn't just a rehashing of Clash Heroes; it's an entirely new game built from scratch. Players will team up in groups of three to explore a mysterious location called The Tower. Each session will take you to a different floor, with the ultimate aim to climb as high as possible. Unlike its predecessor, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay with various characters, moving away from the solo PvE dungeons of Clash Heroes.
Currently, Project R.I.S.E. is in its pre-alpha phase. Supercell is gearing up for the first playtest in early July 2024, and you can sign up on their official website for a chance to get involved.
