Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs. This significant value might puzzle many players. The high price reflects either a direct need for the amulet in specific builds or its potential for conversion into a more valuable item. Let's break down the reasons.

Why are White Stellar Amulets so Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal (white) Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key to obtaining the Astramentis Stellar Amulet, a top-tier Unique Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its substantial attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes incredibly well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Magic (blue) or Rare (yellow) amulets won't work, explaining the premium placed on normal Stellar Amulets.

Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are exceptionally low. Even using a large quantity of Stellar Amulets (e.g., 100) doesn't guarantee success. While luck can play a role, the probability remains slim.

The decision to sell or gamble is entirely personal. Selling a White Stellar Amulet typically nets 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on market conditions. Alternatively, you can risk it all on a potentially massive payoff. It's a high-stakes gamble, and the choice is yours.

Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a less desirable, more common result)

A failed gamble results in amulet destruction, a likely scenario.
