In a recent interview, Mizobe discussed the difficulties of bringing Palworld to the Switch. While exploring possibilities for new platforms, Pocketpair hasn't made any announcements regarding future releases. The demanding PC specifications present a significant challenge for a Switch port. Mizobe previously stated that the PC version's higher specifications make a direct port difficult for purely technical reasons.

The possibility of Palworld appearing on PlayStation, other consoles, or mobile remains unconfirmed. Earlier this year, Mizobe confirmed discussions about expanding to more platforms. He also mentioned openness to partnerships or acquisitions, but denied any buyout talks with Microsoft.

Future Plans Include Enhanced Multiplayer

Mizobe also shared his vision for the game's multiplayer aspects. An upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, will pave the way for more extensive multiplayer experiences. He expressed a desire to incorporate elements reminiscent of popular survival games like Ark and Rust, aiming for a robust PvP mode. These games are known for their challenging environments, resource management, and player interaction, including alliances and tribes.

Palworld, a creature-collecting and survival shooter, has enjoyed significant success since its release, selling 15 million copies on PC within its first month and attracting 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass. A major update, including the Sakurajima update with a new island and a PvP arena, launches this Thursday.
