"Hazelight's Split Fiction Introduces Crossplay Feature"
Hazelight Studios continues to stand out in the gaming industry with its innovative approach to cooperative play. Their unique feature, where only one player needs to purchase the game while allowing two people to play together, remains a distinctive element that sets Hazelight apart. While this model hasn't been widely adopted elsewhere, it has helped the studio carve out a special niche for itself. The only significant limitation in Hazelight's previous titles was the absence of crossplay, which many felt was a natural complement to their co-op focused gameplay.
Excitingly, Hazelight's upcoming game, Split Fiction, will introduce crossplay, a feature that the developers have now officially confirmed. The beloved Friend’s Pass system will return, meaning that only one copy of the game is necessary for two players to enjoy the experience together, though both will need an EA account to participate.
In addition to this, Hazelight has announced the availability of a demo version of Split Fiction. This demo offers players the chance to try out the game with a friend, and any progress made can be seamlessly transferred to the full version upon purchase.
Split Fiction is poised to guide players through a diverse array of settings, yet it will maintain a focus on exploring simple yet profound human relationships. The game is slated for release on March 6 and will be accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, promising another compelling addition to Hazelight's unique catalog of games.
