Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the spooky details. Get ready for exciting features and chilling encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, 10:00 a.m. local time.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon boasts unique battle mechanics. Its Full Belly Mode uses Aura Wheel (Electric), a 100-power move boosting Attack. Hangry Mode transforms Aura Wheel into a Dark-type move, retaining its 100 power and Attack boost. Morpeko will be more frequently encountered in the GO Battle League's premium track during the event, and afterwards at Rank 16 and above (though still more common in premium battles).

The Halloween spirit is amplified with special holiday decorations and a nighttime remix of the classic Lavender Town theme.

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Raids, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, running from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
