GTA San Andreas Remastered: 51 Mods Transform Classic Game

Despite the official remaster of *Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas* not meeting everyone's expectations, dedicated fans like Shapatar XT are stepping up to create their own enhanced versions of this beloved classic. Shapatar XT's ambitious project incorporates an impressive 51 modifications, aiming to breathe new life into the game.

One of the key areas of improvement is the graphics. Shapatar XT didn't stop at just enhancing visuals; they tackled the infamous issue of "flying trees" that would suddenly appear in the original game. By optimizing map loading, players can now see obstacles from a distance, preventing those unexpected surprises. Additionally, the vegetation throughout the game world has been upgraded for a more realistic experience.

The mod also makes the game world feel more vibrant and dynamic. You'll find scattered "garbage" adding realism, NPCs engaging in activities like fixing cars, and even airplanes taking off at the airport. Various signs, graffiti, and inscriptions have been upgraded to improve the overall visual quality.

Combat mechanics have been significantly enhanced with the introduction of a new "over the shoulder" shooting camera, realistic recoil, updated weapon sounds, and the ability to leave bullet holes on surfaces. CJ's arsenal now features updated models, and players can shoot freely in all directions while driving.

For those who prefer a different perspective, a first-person view option has been added. This allows players to see the steering wheel or handlebars of vehicles and CJ holding weapons with both hands during combat.

Shapatar XT also included a mod-pack of cars, featuring a Toyota Supra among others. These vehicles come with detailed enhancements like working headlights, reverse lights, and animated engines.

There are also numerous quality-of-life improvements, such as a streamlined process for selecting items in stores. Instead of the lengthy animation of CJ going to change clothes and coming back to show the outfit, players can now quickly switch items "on the fly" to find their favorite look. The main protagonist, CJ, himself has been given an updated model to fit these modern enhancements.
