Genshin Impact: Eradicating the Lord of Primal Flames
Quick Links
Genshin Impact's Natlan Archon Quest nears its conclusion, unveiling lore and evolving combat mechanics. Each nation features two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire presents a significant challenge. This formidable dual-wielding dragon, reminiscent of Natlan's original ruler, embodies the Abyss's malevolence. Similar to Inazuma's Riftwolves, it inflicts a Corrosion effect, demanding strategic combat. While difficult, victory is achievable. This guide details how to defeat the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire.
Locating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire resides within the Stone Stele Records domain, south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. Located within a shrine commemorating Natlan's fallen, this domain offers rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly bosses.
Access requires completion of the Archon Quest's final chapter: "When All Becomes A Monument." Alternatively, utilize the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer's Handbook.
Conquering the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact
Success hinges heavily on Natlan characters like Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani.
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire summons three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora. Nightsoul Blessing characters significantly expedite their defeat.
Prioritize Destroying the Pillars with Nightsoul Blessing
While other characters can destroy the Pillars, Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina drastically reduce the time required. This is crucial to counter the Dragon's Eroded Meteor strike. Breaking the pillars immobilizes the Dragon for roughly 10 seconds, allowing for concentrated damage. However, even with swift action, the Pillars might not break quickly enough, depending on the character used. When the meteor animation begins, equip a shield and switch to a healer to mitigate the substantial damage from the Corrosion effect, which penetrates shields. Without a shield, a one-shot kill is possible even at full HP.
Healers like Furina and Kokomi are highly effective; Kuki, Barbara, and Bennett provide viable alternatives.
Effective Evasion Strategies: Dodging or Utilizing Cover
Dodging the Dragon's unpredictable attacks is challenging. Its smoke-based movement and rapid attacks (sword slashes and smashes) significantly reduce the battlefield's usable area. When the battlefield is reduced, staying close and attacking from underneath can be a viable strategy, but requires constant healing due to the Eroded Dragon Breath attack's Corrosion effect. This attack inflicts Pyro and Erosion DMG, necessitating strong shielding and healing. If overwhelmed, seek cover near the Dragon's hands, as the Dragon Breath doesn't reach that area. The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire's sword slashes necessitate immediate healing to counteract Erosion.
A healer is indispensable.
Cooperative Gameplay and Matchmaking
Co-op mode offers assistance, especially during the Pillar phase. Utilize the 'Match' button within the Domain to team up with other players for a smoother fight.
While lacking multiple phases, the fight demands considerable time and strategic planning.
