Future Marvel Rivals Seasons Will Feature Half the Content of Season 1
Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut
Marvel Rivals is launching its first season, "Eternal Night Falls," on January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasting double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a deliberate choice by the developers, driven by their decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a cohesive unit.
This supersized season will introduce three new maps based on iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
The initial launch will include Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) from the Fantastic Four. The Thing and Human Torch are slated to arrive in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks after launch.
While the developers haven't commented on how this oversized Season 1 will affect future content releases, it's currently anticipated that subsequent seasons will follow a pattern of adding two new characters per season.
The absence of Blade, a previously rumored addition, has disappointed some fans. However, the sheer volume of content in Season 1, coupled with ongoing speculation surrounding the game, keeps player anticipation high. The future of Marvel Rivals remains exciting and full of potential.
