Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag

The latest season of Diablo 4 introduces new seasonal boss powers that, when strategically combined, can create an infinite damage build that also significantly slows down the game's servers. On May 9, YouTuber Macrobioboi showcased this powerful build in a video, demonstrating how it can clear a room full of enemies using specific boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.

To achieve this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect, which inflicts a Vulnerable status on enemies. This status not only boosts damage but, thanks to this particular Aspect, lasts until the enemy is defeated.

The build is completed with the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power, which typically removes the Vulnerable status upon stunning enemies. However, due to Vampiric Curse's effect, the stun can be repeatedly applied without losing the Vulnerable status. Additionally, Varshan's Life Steal boss power inflicts significant damage each time a boss power is activated.

The combination of these effects leads to numerous calculations by the game, causing server lag. As seen in wudijo's YouTube video, the screen is overwhelmed with skills and abilities, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. Wudijo commented, "There are a lot of calculations going on, it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."

Blizzard Entertainment has yet to address this issue, allowing players to continue using the build, albeit at the cost of increased lag.

Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab

Diablo 4 is currently collaborating with the iconic manga Berserk, bringing popular Berserk-themed cosmetics and items into the game. However, the high prices of these items have sparked concerns among fans.

While some cosmetics can be earned for free by playing the game and collecting Behelits, which can be spent on the Berserk Reliquary, the premium sets are what truly capture the essence of the collaboration. The free rewards include:

  • Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
  • Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
  • Brand of Sacrifice Marking
  • Foretold Eclipse Headstone
  • Od of the Berserker Emblem

The premium sets, however, come with a steep price tag, requiring Diablo 4’s premium currency, Platinum. Here’s what you can buy:

  • The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
  • The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
  • The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
  • The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
  • The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
  • Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum

Each premium skin costs around $28, which is nearly half the price of the base game. Purchasing all the premium items would set players back approximately $150, or a 15,000 Platinum bundle that includes an additional 3,500 Platinum.

This pricing model is consistent with Diablo 4’s previous collaboration with World of Warcraft, suggesting a trend that might continue with future IP crossovers. Despite the high-quality offerings, the steep prices have left many fans hesitant to invest in these Berserk sets.
