Undertale creator Toby Fox recently provided an update on the console testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While significant progress has been made, console testing is ongoing, with fewer bugs but still much work to be done. Fox specifically mentioned that PS5 testing hasn't even begun yet.

Save Transfers from Chapters 1 & 2

A key development is the integration of save file transfer functionality. The team is working to enable players to carry over their saves from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo to the full release of Chapters 3 and 4 on consoles. This feature, recently made possible by acquiring the necessary technology, is highly anticipated. Fox expressed optimism about its successful implementation.

With beta testing progressing well, a release date may be imminent. Fox previously confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.

New Character Revealed: Tenna

Amidst the development process, Fox shared a humorous anecdote about a minigame he's working on, jokingly described by his family and friends as a "cry for help" due to the game's delayed release. This has led to speculation that the minigame might be intended for Chapter 5, given Fox's previous statement that Chapters 3 and 4 are content-complete.

More significantly, Fox mentioned a friend's comment about missing a character named Tenna. This seemingly confirms Tenna's appearance in Chapter 3. Tenna was previously glimpsed during the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022.

Deltarune, a spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation. Players will once again join Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
