The Battle Of Polytopia Buffs The Aquarion Tribe, Making Them Thalassic Superstars!
Midjiwan has unleashed a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe. This marks a substantial refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.
Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation
The Aquarion have received a dramatic makeover. Their land units now boast mermaid tails, making them either fully aquatic or amphibious. This grants them effortless water traversal, although they're slower on land. The update introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to coexist for the first time.
The Aquarion's infrastructure has also undergone an aquatic transformation. Buildings can now be constructed on water, and Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, providing the perfect watery stronghold.
A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, a crucial element for the Aquarion, are now permanently available. These function similarly to land-based crops and farms.
New aquatic adversaries have joined the fray. Sharks ambush unsuspecting units, Puffers unleash long-range bombardments, and Jellies deliver electrifying attacks.
Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also feature improvements. Crabs now flood the tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. See the changes in action!
